Google account and Google Drive
For all the important Documents and Spreadsheets we use Google Drive to get information or to make an update. You will need to create a new google account with a gmail address (name.cdlrecruitments@gmail.com).
If you are not familiar with Google Drive than follow the 3 steps below:
Step 1: Go to drive.google.com
On your computer, go to drive.google.com. You’ll see “My Drive,” which has:
- Files and folders you upload or sync
- Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms you create

Step 2: Upload or create files
You can upload files from your computer or create files in Google Drive.
- Upload files and folders to Google Drive
- Work with Office files
- Create, edit, and format Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Step 3: Share and organize files
You can share files or folders, so other people can view, edit, or comment on them.
To see files that other people have shared with you, go to the “Shared with me” section.

Shared folder: Recruitment – Client database
The Recruitment – Client database folder is the folder that we use for organising our most needed information for clients and the drivers that we are hiring for them.
Here you have the Dashboard Sheet and the folders for every carrier company.
01 The Dashboard Sheet is our information board for Upcoming Drivers and Placed(hired) Drivers. On the dashboard you can see 4 sheets (Placed Drivers / Scheduled Drivers / Not Confirmed Drivers / Referrals).
- When the driver is hired you place his info on Placed Drivers (this comes third)
- When you have confirmed orientation date booked travel you place his info on Scheduled Drivers (this comes second)
- When you have an approved driver with orientation date for him you place his info on Not Confirmed Drivers (this comes first)
- If the driver was referred by a hired driver we place their info on Referrals.
It is very important to add information that is correct and confirmed with the driver on the dashboard.

As you can see on the picture, the required info is:
- Name – Driver’s full first and last name
- Type – What type of driver position he is getting hired for (company, Owner, Lease..)
- Orientation Date – the date he is scheduled to go on orientation
- Status – what is his current status (hired, confirmed for arriving, arrived etc.)
- Recruiter – Who is recruiting the driver
- Company – For which company is he getting hired
- Phone # – Driver’s phone number
- Truck Preference – what truck and trailer will he drive
- Transportation & Time – how will he arrive and when
02 The folders for every carrier company have the offers that each company has for hiring new drivers, and what is required for application. Depending on the company, there can be offers for Company Drivers, Owner Operators and Lease Purchase.
